Data Security

At computer recycling London, carrying out data destruction both onsite and offsite, requires strict security procedures to ensure our operations aren’t compromised.

This is done in the following ways:

  • All computer recycling London staff have been CRB checked and carry their documents around with them along with their ID
  • All vehicles are extra secure due to having security additions to each of the loading doors
  • Each of the vehicles has a satellite tracking device fitted. At head office, each of these vehicles is monitored. It also allows us to update customers on the status of their collection
  • On arrival of your equipment back at our site, the data holding devices are destroyed immediately before your equipment goes for refurbishment and recycling
  • You will receive a data destruction document for each collection
  • Absolutely anything that holds data will be eliminated
  • Each member of staff has access privileges throughout our site and only the most trusted staff are allowed to access areas where confidential data is held such as the data wiping room

Access control systems are in use on each main door:

  • Our specialist alarm system is deafening
  • 24 Hour recorded CCTV is in use and monitored always
  • Any visitors are restricted to reception
  • The goods in area is guarded by security
  • All main external walls throughout the site have motion sensors fitted so if someone tries to gain entrance, security will find out
  • Flood lights are in use throughout the site
  • Most assets that are collected bear labels that show where the items have come from. You can be rest assured that before your equipment goes anywhere, all your asset sticks / PAT Test stickers will be removed to ensure no one know where they came from
